I’ll keep this post brief. After all, what can one say about a place which serves only chips? Often, my reaction to larger menus is to wonder how the restaurant keeps all the ingredients fresh. The answer is, of course, they cannot.

When there is absolutely one thing on the menu, you know they have no option but to serve you fresh food all the time. I spoke to one of the staff about the process at Awesome Chips. As it turns out, she had been there for four hours. She personally peeled and chopped the potatoes before they opened for business.

The resulting chips were staggering. 

I went for the most popular combination: peri peri and melted cheese. Now, not much can go wrong with chips; cheese and peri peri sauce. As you can see from the picture, they were absurdly good. The wooden fork they gave me wasn’t optimal for easy consumption. All in all, however, this was a delightfully filling meal.

That is all I have to say, for once. When you’re next in the centre of town, have a try. You have absolutely nothing to lose.
